    Invigorating licorice taste. This essential oil offers a spicy, warm, licorice-like aroma. Fishermen use it to mask human scent while fishing. It is well known for its effect on the digestive system. Anise is said to have estrogen-like properties and many consider it an emmenagogue. It is said to aid childbirth, to increase milk secretion and to have antispasmodic benefits for nerves and muscles. Blends well with fennel, petitgrain and rosewood. Should not be used during early pregnancy.
