An aphrodisiac or love drug is a substance that increases libido when consumed. Aphrodisiacs are distinct from substances that address fertility issues or secondary sexual (dys)function such as erectile dysfunction.

The name comes from the Greek ἀφροδισιακόν, aphrodisiakon, i.e. "sexual, aphrodisiac", from aphrodisios, i.e. "pertaining to Aphrodite",[1][2] the Greek goddess of love. A male and female sexual stimulant, this is the Aphrodisiac to use when sexual dysfunction is attached to strong emotions such as anxiety, stress and mild depression.

    • FOR MEN It has a particular use for impotence in men associated with anxiety, and it has also been recommended for inflammation of the prostate in men. It is believed to contain alkaloids that stimulate the body's levels of testosterone and it is used to treat erectile dysfunction, impotence and inability to reach orgasm.

FOR WOMEN it is indicated where anxiety or depression may be involved in the inability to achieve orgasm, often restoring this ability. Known to produce a mild, short lived euphoric state, Damiana can work quickly to stimulate the genital area by enriching the oxygen supply. Interestingly it is a good tonic for women who are coming off the birth control pill and/or facing the menopause as it is a sexual hormone re-balancer.

Rose hips:    Rose hips are cultivated from wild roses after the blooms have wilted. This is when the red fruits known as rose hips are produced. Believe it or not, rose hips are one of the best sources of vitamin C. In fact, they contain 50% more vitamin C than oranges even! Noting this, it’s no wonder why rose hips are very sour in flavor. These unique fruits can be used to make jams and jellies, though many people who are looking to partake in the benefits of rose hips find that it is most convenient to do so when rose hips have been brewed into a warm tea. Aside from being high in vitamin C content, a single cup of rose hips tea also contains fruit acids and pectin. There is also a good amount of vitamin A to be found in this tea which can be excellent if you’re looking for a natural way to tone and strengthen your skin. Furthermore, you can find a vast variety of different antioxidants in rose hips tea, which can help prevent damage dealt by free radicals in the body. Additionally you’ll find amounts of vitamins D, E, K, and minerals such as calcium, iron, silicon, selenium, sodium, potassium, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, and zinc. You’ll find that rose hips tea is also great for its anti-viral and anti-bacterial benefits. You can drink this tea regularly to gain a little additional boost to your immune system or to cleanse your respiratory tract. The calming effects of drinking this tea may also help to brighten your mood a little as well. Support your kidneys and often neglected adrenal glands with a couple cups of rose hips tea a day. As always, consult with a doctor prior to drinking new herbal teas if you are currently pregnant, nursing, or on any medications.

Gotu-Kola:     Cultures across the world believe that some substances possess the capacity to stimulate sexual desire among humans. Usually foods and herbs but sometimes even animal parts, these substances may work by influencing the action of sex hormones in the body or treating physiological disorders which may have been hampering sexual pleasure. Gotu kola is one such herb which has a long history of aphrodisiacal and medicinal use in parts of South Asia.  The key to use of gotu kola as an aphrodisiac may lie in the herb’s beneficial effect on the circulatory system of the body. An active chemical component in gotu kola known as triterpenoid saponis is known to decrease venous pressure and treat venous insufficiency besides strengthening blood vessels and capillaries. This may contribute to improved extra-peripheral circulation in the body which is essential for taking oxygen-rich blood to the sex organs and thus attaining  and maintaining erection among men. In this way use of gotu kola may help to boost the male libido and enhance sexual pleasure.
